It's the end of the world as we know it... Part II

Time for a quick update on the impending end of the world. I wrote about the Large Hadron Collider built by CERN a few months back, click here for the post. At the time there wasn't any exact dates given for it's start up, but it seems we finally have a date for ignition, September 10th. The first protons will pumped through the maze of tubing August 9th. Full blast off, and perhaps the end of the world as we know it won't come for a few more months, so relax. Of course those wacky physicists have released a video trying to explain what they're trying to accomplish. The sounds a bit dodgy, but it is educational, so you like it I say!
